Main use of chromium trioxide

1. It is mainly used in the electroplating industry. It is used as a raw material for electroplating chromium for bicycles, sewing machines, watches, meters, flashlights, and daily-use hardware. It is also used to make high-purity metal chromium. It is a raw material for the production of chrome oxide green and zinc chrome yellow; it is also a raw material for producing low-temperature shift catalysts, high-temperature shift catalysts and high-pressure methanol synthesis catalysts. Wool fabrics are used as mordants when dyed and used as oxidants in the printing and dyeing industry. In addition, it is also used for wood preservation.

2. Used as a catalyst for the Phillips method to take polyethylene. This product is mainly used for chrome plating and preparation of pure metal chromium. Also used as a raw material for the manufacture of chrome oxide green. Used as a mordant when dyeing wool fabrics. Used as a catalyst and oxidant in the organic synthesis industry.

3. An important chromium compound, the most important raw material for the electroplating industry, used as the main raw material for electroplating chromium. Most of the chromic anhydride is consumed in the electroplating industry. 6. Application in galvanizing passivation Most of the passivation of the galvanized layer is chromic anhydride, which is the main component of film formation. In the chemical oxidation of aluminum and alloys, chromic anhydride is an oxidant in solution and is an indispensable component in the formation of a film. 7.
