Triethylene Glycol is a Colorless and transparent liquid, also known as TEG.

What are the uses of Triethylene Glycol?

TEG is widely used in natural gas and is the preferred solvent for ensuring safe long-distance natural gas transportation and meeting pipeline quality standards and downstream process requirements.

- TEG prevents hydrate formation, avoiding hydrate blockages in valves, pipelines, and instruments, thus ensuring smooth transportation.

- Triethylene glycol meets pipeline transportation specifications, guaranteeing the quality of commercial natural gas and is a necessary condition for entry into long-distance pipeline networks.

- Furthermore, triethylene glycol controls corrosion, significantly reducing the internal corrosion rate of gas pipelines and equipment, extending facility lifespan, and ensuring safety.

What are the benefits of Triethylene Glycol?

-Extremely high dehydration depth can lower the natural gas water dew point to -40°C to -60°C or even lower, meeting the most stringent pipeline transportation and processing requirements.

-TEG has extremely low vapor pressure at the absorber operating temperature (20-50°C), resulting in minimal TEG loss due to natural gas entrainment and low operating costs.

-Furthermore, TEG exhibits excellent thermal stability and regenerability. It can operate stably at the recommended regeneration temperature (160-204°C), is not easily decomposed, and can be efficiently separated from water through simple heating distillation, enabling continuous recycling.
