What are the uses of Calcium Sulfate in ceramic industry?
Calcium Sulfate is widely used in the ceramics industry, mainly in mold making and as an additive for glazes/body, enabling more precise control over the state of slurry and body during production.

- Calcium sulfate is used to make flat blanks such as plates and dishes, as it quickly absorbs moisture from the clay surface, aiding in shaping.

- Calcium sulfate can also be used as a calcium source in glazes, lowering the glaze's maturation temperature and increasing its hardness, gloss, and abrasion resistance.

- Simultaneously, it can be used as an additive in the body of the blank, adjusting the fluidity of the clay slurry and influencing the drying and firing properties of the blank.
