In polishing and maintenance agents, TTA is used in polishing pastes or maintenance solutions for metals such as copper and brass, forming a protective film after cleaning and polishing to prevent rapid oxidation and darkening of the surface. When added to insulation materials for wires and cables, it prevents catalytic degradation of the insulation material at high temperatures due to contact with copper conductors. As a UV absorber, it is used in engineering plastics such as polyamides, polyesters, and polycarbonates, as well as in high-grade coatings and adhesives.
